As this year's autumn apple harvest approaches, Keynote, there are also new and new estimates and speculations about what this year's iPhones should look like and what features they will offer. The key to some of these estimates may also be the quarterly financial reports of individual suppliers of the Cupertino company. Among them is the company Lumentum, which Applu supplies componenty for the TrueDepth camera.

The financial results of this company for the June quarter were better than originally expected. In addition, according to analysts, the volume of expected orders practically confirms that all three iPhones this year should receive cameras with the advanced TrueDepth system. Lumentum's earnings report shows a significant increase in shipments of VCSEL laser modules at the end of the quarter, which Apple uses his iPhone X's TrueDepth camera. According to analyst Gen Munster of Loup Ventures, the higher volume of shipments, along with the expected acceleration of orders for the next two quarters, is in line with the company's production plans Apple.

For the June quarter, Lumentum reported revenue of $301 million, beating Wall Street expectations of $287 million. Revenue from VCSEL modules accounted for $60-65 million of total revenue and is expected to grow further in the second half of this year. “With the increase coming in earlier than we expected, we believe this fall Apple will release three (including the iPhone X) iPhone models with a VCSEL laser,” Munster said. "In addition, Lumentum's results also demonstrate that the current demand for iPhone X is satisfactory," he adds.

That Apple will release a trio of new iPhones this fall, something most people now take for granted. It is expected to be an updated version of the 5,8-inch iPhone X, followed by varianta with a 6,5-inch OLED display and a more affordable model with a 6,1-inch LCD display. The vast majority of analysts expect all three new models to feature technology Face ID and TrueDepth camera. According to Munster, the company would Apple should implement TrueDepth technology in other product lines, such as the iPad. It could be removed home button and its frames should also be significantly thinner.
