Disney has been preparing its own streaming service for quite some time. Because she is not satisfied with the distribution of her films through Netflix, she decided to break away from the streaming platform and create her own. The company's CEO Bob Iger has now revealed that it will offer discounts on his movies to Hulu and ESPN+ users. Disney is expected to create a separate streaming service through which it will offer content from Pixar, Marvel, Disney and Lucasfilm.
So if a user subscribes to all three services—Hulu, ESPN+, and the upcoming service that Disney is now calling Disney Play—then Disney will offer them better prices.
