8. He wanted to transfer to another school because of the bullying

Steve really hated Crittenden High School. It was in a poor area and many of the kids who attended the school were bullied, including Steve. It was a difficult situation and experience for him, especially at the age of 11. Nakonec couldn't stand the bullying anymore. One day he came to his parents and told them he wanted to transfer to another school, that he would never set foot in Crittenden again. His parents saw how unhappy he was and agreed. Over time, Steve met another person who lived nearby. His name was Steve Wozniak, but his friends called him “Woz.” Steve was completely impressed by him, especially because he was the first person he knew who knew more about electronics than he did. At the time, Woz was attending college in Berkeley and Steve was attending Homestead High School, but the fact that they each studied in a different place didn't stop them from being friends. They even came up with a joke project involving the production and sale of so-called "blue boxes". Their owners could make long-distance calls around the world without any charges. However, he stopped doing that after his coach advised him to knee his opponents in the groin. He then decided to start playing trumpet in the school band and formed The Buck Fry Club with some friends. Because he didn't last very long at anything, he didn't really fit in anywhere and became an outsider who didn't belong anywhere.

3. His classmates thought he was strange

Perhaps because Steve didn't fit into any of the groups at school and none of his hobbies lasted very long, his classmates didn't like him much and thought he was strange. However, Steve wasn't completely alone, he had a few friends - Steve Wozniak and Billand Fernandez, whom he knew from Cupertino Junior High School. All three were introverts and to a large extent each had their own world. That's probably why they stuck together. Their common hobby - electronics - also helped. Woz was the most passionate about it, but so was Steve and Billand it was fun to lock myself in the garage and work on various projects.

2. Steve and Woz dressed up as characters from Alice in Wonderland for a job

After Steve graduated from high school in 1972, he decided it was time to find a part-time job and earn some money. For some reason, he didn't return to Hewlett-Packard and instead took a job dressing up as an Alice in Wonderland character at the Westgate department store in San Jose. Woz also needed money, so he joined Steve. The job paid them $3 an hour, 50 cents more than miniThe minimum wage at the time. Steve's girlfriend at the time also had this part-time job with them.
