In recent weeks, we have been informing you quite intensively about the news that the streaming company Spotify is preparing for its listeners. The company recently went public and is trying to attract as many new listeners as possible with its current steps, which will make it a much more attractive company in the eyes of investors. The news that it wants to “hunt” for new listeners was recently presented in New Yorku.

Probably the most interesting news that Spotify introduced is a new mode that should reduce data consumption very significantly when streaming music. Music streaming should be around 75% more efficient when running this mode. With a bit of exaggeration, it can be said that if you are avid Spotify listeners but your data limit is low, after starting the "saving data mode" you will not have to worry about its exhaustion.

This is what it looks like beta version of the tested application:

New possibilities

The free version of Spotify will also offer a wider range of playlists (the option to listen to the 15 most popular worldwide) that listeners will be able to play for free, as well as greater personalization options, thanks to which you could find music that you like on Spotify more often. It is also nice that users will be able to select and play any song from the given playlists as many times as they want, which will make using Spotify much more user-friendly. However, you will still be limited by those playlists. Since there are about 750 songs in them, the selection will be really decent. Overall, we should also expect a redesign iOS and Android applications that should be a little more user-friendly.

Spotify also boasted new numbers of users. At the moment, according to him, 71 million customers use its paid version, while 90 million customers are satisfied with the free version. There are almost twice as many paying listeners as there are Apple at yours Apple Music.

So, as you can see for yourself, Spotify will receive some really interesting improvements that will improve its use considerably. However, if you want to enjoy listening to any music anytime, anywhere (and you don't want to be limited by songs from the playlist) and you hate annoying ads between individual songs, it will still make more sense for you to pay for a Premium account.
