In recent years, the zombie genre has become quite a cliché, either on the movie screen or in the world of gaming. For dozens of disastrously produced games, films and series, there is often only one representative of quality, which wins over quantity. One of the representatives of how a zombie-survival title should look on smartphones and tablets is the sequel to the game Into the Dead.

Last fall, studio PikPok brought us a sequel to the atmospheric zombie shooter called Into the Dead 2. For those who haven't tried this solidly crafted title, it's an auto-run mode of gameplay that took us into a relentless battle with the infected population. The zombies who stood in front of the protagonist on the way to his family will make your journey unpleasant with individual missions.

When overcoming the lines of undead enemies, a lot of game content is available in the form of various weapons, upgrades and power-ups. Considering that the movement of the character in individual levels is set automatically, it is not a classic FPS game. However, it is possible, I would even say necessary, to correct the direction and evasive maneuvers of the character so that you do not find yourself directly in the arms of an infected enemy. Daily and seasonal rewards will bring you collectible content, which you can then use to effectively overcome the story.

PikPok takes good care of the enthusiasts of this mobile title, which results from the organization of special eventov and the occasional addition of new weapons and items. The latest addition should be an update with the name Divided. The new chapter should introduce us to the role of an elite soldier who got separated from his unit in the midst of the chaos of the zombie apocalypse and is determined to reunite with them. Watch a short teaser that tells you a little about the upcoming update.

Not much is known yet about the specific arrival date, nor about the bonus content that the update will feature. We can only wait to see what gadgets we will see in the new game chapter.

  • Into the Dead 2 by PikPok Studio is available for free for devices with iOS.
