If I asked you how to spot someone who is lying, what would you say? I bet that many of you would point out various indirect looks in the eyes or strange "nervous" gestures or would suggest that I send the person in question to a lie detector test. But did you know that you can also detect a liar through his control of the iPhone?

A group of scientists at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark set out to detect liars by their smartphone control, and surprisingly, they are succeeding with their findings. They have managed to find out that a person who is lying controls their smartphone.one differently than someone who doesn't lie. They found this using a series of experiments, which involved, for example, showing a certain color on the screen to test participants and having them decide whether to name it correctly or incorrectly, which would effectively be lying. This experiment revealed that people who decided to lie chose their answer on the phone screen later than those who named the color correctly.

Another experiment consisted in the fact that the tested people had to divide a certain amount of money in half, while the other person, who was to be gifted with half of this amount, had no idea how much money it actually was. This experiment also revealed that if you decide to lie and give the other person a smaller amount than they are entitled to, you will react much longer.

The third experiment was based on the recognition of pressure and movements of fingers on the screen, while the test showed that people who lied or were unsure about certain things pressed the phone screen far less than those who were supposed to tell the truth. Liars, on the other hand, browsed the display with their fingers far more, while truthful people can only use a few gestures.

According to scientists, the results of this experiment are comparable to a lie detector, which could be a great promise for the future. This discovery could also be incorporated into various banking applications or similar software in the future, which could theoretically eliminate their misuse. However, the whole study is of course still in its early stages. However, it is definitely very interesting and proves that through smartphonesone People can find out much more about us than we even think.
