The design of the upcoming gaming phone has been largely unknown until now. Some of the concepts depicted the device more like a portable game console, but after various guesses, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi officially presented the visuals of the smartphone. According to the last ones information Black Shark will have a 5.99-inch screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080. However, unlike the competing device from the Razer workshop, it only operates with a 60Hz display, not 120Hz.
Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 845 processor. It will be available in two versions: 6/64 GB and 8/128 GB. In the case of a gaming phone, the battery life – 4000mAh – will certainly impress. The developers solved the cooling with a liquid that cools the phone by up to 8°C. As for the camera, the rear dual camera offers 12MP, the front 20MP.

The game controller, which you simply slide onto the phone, expands the control part with an analog stick and buttons. The price of the Black Shark gaming smartphone in the cheaper version (6/64GB) is around $477, the more expensive version (8/128GB) will cost $557. The phone is available in two colors, silver and black.
Whether Xiaomi's Black Shark will come to our region is questionable, and whether it would find a target group is even more questionable. We'll see if the phone can hold its own against competition in the form of the Nintendo Switch and other portable gaming devices.
