How to use Tags in macOS
Using Tags in macOS is very simple. Just click on the desired file right click at the bottom of the menu that appears, you choose color. If you chose red, for example, all files and folders will be united under this color and marked in red.
How to customize Brands
To customize Tags, just move to any okna Finderu and then in top bar click on the bold text Finder. A drop-down menu will appear, in which we click on an option Preferences. Here at the top of the window we click on the option Brand – this step moves us to Menu, in which we can edit Brand, as we please. Help checkboxes you can choose separately for each brand whether it will be displayed in side panel Finderu. You can also use a plus you can add a new tag and vice versa using minus remove it. If you would like some of your tags to also appear for quick use in menus Finderu, you can do so using dragging required marks to bottom menu "Favorite Brands".
Adding a Tag to a file in progress
Let's say that you are writing an entry in TextEdit or any other text editor. If you decide at this moment that you k just in progress file you want assign a tag you can do so. Just click on an arrow, which is located in upper part of the window, now next to the title file. Then simply click in the box Brand and choose which tag you want for the file assign. You can also add a tag to the file you are currently saving - the procedure is almost the same - at storage we just fill in the box Brand.
If you want to find files marked with the Mark, you can find them very easily - either in sidebar in Finderu you click on the required Brand or it is enough when to search in Finderu you write the name of a certain color. You can also find marked files using Spotlight or Siri.
It annoys me enough that the mark can only be seen as a dot (unclear!), is there no way around it so that it works like it used to and the whole line is colored??
Does anyone have any experience with setting tags for files stored in cloud (onedrive). It used to work normally for me, but now, and I don't know why, I tag a file and after opening and closing it, the tag disappears.
