Apple just recently released iOS 11.3 for the public, but is already working on the next version of its mobile operating system. It is currently iOS 11.4 in phase beta testing. Although it will not be as big an update as the previous version was iOS 11.3, but it should still bring some interesting and anticipated features. Of course, it will also include the usual set of bug fixes and performance improvements. So let's take a look at four features that should be part of the upcoming release. iOS 11.4.

AirPlay 2

The Cupertino company presented AirPlay 2 at last year's developer conference WWDC. Although the function has already appeared several times in beta versions iOS 11, never made it to the final update. However, it will apparently AirPlay 2 included iOS 11.4, because the function appeared in the first beta green iOS 11.4, which is currently only available to developers.

Apple reworked AirPlay so that users can send music directly to specific speakers and send different music to different speakers from a single device, whether an iPad or iPhone. Furthermore, it is possible thanks to AirPlay 2 use Apple TV as a speaker without the need for Apple TV as such. More about AirPlay 2 to find out in our older article.

Messages on iCloud

In January, we informed you that the option to save Messages on iCloud will bring iOS 11.3, because the feature was part of beta version. Apple however, the function at the last minute from iOS 11.3 removed it, but it reappeared in the first beta green iOS 11.4.

The system allows you to save Messages on iCloud and sync them across all the Apple devices you own. This will allow you to back up your old messages and, most importantly, sync them seamlessly across all your devices. So, for example, if you buy a new iPhone, you won't need to restore it from a backup for messages, as they will be uploaded to it after you log in to iCloudIt also works the same way, so if you delete a message on one device, it will be deleted from all other devices.

HomePod gets stereo support

After the Californian giant introduced HomePod promised that a future software update would bring stereo support. Several updates have been released, but none of them have brought stereo pairing, which could be in the future. iOS 11.4 konechange it.

With the new feature, you will be able to create two HomePods truly a great music experience. All you need is two Apple smart speakers, which when paired will achieve true stereo sound.

ClassKit and Schoolwork

The latest news is more interesting for the USA and the countries where it is Apple more widespread in education than in our country. This is a ClassKit developer mode, which is used primarily in schools. Thanks to it, application developers can program their programs so that students send solutions to a certain task from their iPhones or iPads via iCloud directly to the teacher. The teacher will then check and grade the solution.

Furthermore, it should iOS 11.4 discover the Schoolwork app, which Apple reported at a recent educational conference. Thanks to it, teachers can see all their classes and also what assignments the students have to hand in.
