Over the past years, we have had the opportunity to try out titles such as Marvel: Avengers Alliance, Future Fight or the popular Contest of Champions. From the Fox workshopNext Games just arrived to us with a new title called Marvel Strike Force, and as a comic book fan and collector, I was more than excited by this information. It is not a story in which you are actively involved, but only a lubricant for the battles on the board and in the animated demonstrations between them. So it's perfectly fine if you detach yourself from the idea of the storyline and enjoy the strategic battles.
Collect, upgrade, collect and upgrade again
At the beginning of the game, you will receive a few basic characters in the form of Spider-man, Shield medic, Elektra or Luke Cage. Assistance in initial battles and orientation in the basic menu is a welcome help when getting to know the controls and the characters themselves. In the game, you will find characters from across the entire universe, either well-known heroes from the film adaptation or from the series produced by Netflix. In the first phase of the game, the game may seem confusing and there will be more than enough information. Well, after the first half hour, you'll get used to both the battles and the orientation on the main screen. Characters can be obtained in the form of orbs, from which you must free them. It is possible to acquire heroes in daily rewards, by buying orbs or simply by winning them during the game campaign.
It is necessary to constantly train and improve the characters, otherwise you will not move anywhere in the story or in any other game mode. To train heroes, you use credits and items won in the campaign and so-called Power Cells. You can get each character only if you have enough cards of that hero. After collecting a certain number of cards, the hero will automatically become available for your list. In addition, the game will reward you with new content every day, just log in and collect your reward.

Marvel Strike Force is not just a dull turn-based strategy that the creators tried to spice up by adding superhero characters. Apart from the main campaign, the game has a wide range of game modes such as Blitz, AlliancHey, Alliance Raids or Alliance Wars. Each game mode will be available only after completing a certain level and provides a great way to join forces with other players from around the world.
The campaign of the game is the best way to improve your characters and reach a higher level, either of the profile or of the given character. To participate in battles across all game modes, you must have enough energy, which is replenished at certain time intervals. Increasing the size of the superhero crew is possible even in limited time eventoh that reward you with a legendary character or upgrade accessory after playing. Strategy is the foundation
If you think that there is no need to think on the playing surface and it is enough just to mindlessly click on everything that appears, you are mistaken. In the initial fights, which are basically set in your favor, it may be easy, but later on, the fight presents a real strategic challenge. Battles are turn-based, alternating between your characters and the opponent's characters. Similar to Avengers Alliance is a superhero chess game where you have to think minialmost two steps forward. It's up to you when to attack, when to heal your teammates or focus on a certain character.

It's a shame that this title doesn't include an overview of the game's moves, as it did in Avengers AlliancWell, it's not a disaster. The game is fast-paced, action-packed and fun. The RPG elements add to the arcade feel of the game, and you are literally compelled to keep going and getting more game content. Graphically, the fights are rendered almost brilliantly, the attack and defense animations alternate, and the team game avoids boring progress. I will definitely find the repetitiveness in this game a critic, but hand on heart, which one doesn't?

Marvel Strike Force is an excellent addition to the gaming world of comics. Quality strategy in the superhero concept has a lot of game modes and collectible content. Compared to the well-known Contest of Champions title, the gameplay in the new addition is more peaceful and offers more options. By collecting and moving through the story, it is possible to learn a lot of interesting information about the entire universe from the Marvel world. Graphically, the game has nothing to complain about, the fights are really well animated and constantly changing. Collecting, upgrading and battling the most iconic characters from the comic book giant Marvel has never been more fun.
