Once you restore your iOS device, its settings will be reset to their default values. You may have noticed that when you first started your first iPhone, pressing a key on the keyboard made a clicking sound, and every time I locked the device, it made a strange clapping-like sound. I'm certainly not alone in saying that these sounds bothered me in everyday use.

Fortunately, there are switches in the settings that can be used to turn off keyboard sounds and locking.

As iOS Turn off annoying typing sound and lock device

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Go to the Sound section.
  3. At the bottom there are two toggles - Keyboard Click and Lock Sound. Once you click and disable them, the keyboard and lock will no longer make annoying noises.
