The iPhone 8 has been in the news here for the past few weeks. The vast majority of the news, however, deals with the design, equipment or new features. It almost seems that the insides are being forgotten. The information drought regarding the internal componentsonent upcoming phones, however, it isonec. Dnes se objevily první informace o tom, kdy by se měly nové čipy Applu, this time called A11, to start production.

The A11 chip will be like new iPhone 8 (or whatever it will be called in the finale), so supposedly iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. It will be manufactured exclusively by TSMC, which is expected to start production next month. By the end of July, TSMC should be able to produce about 50 million A11 chips.

The A11 chip will be manufactured using the new 10nm FinFET process. Current A10 processors are manufactured on the 16nm process. We can therefore expect significantly increased performance and better operating characteristics from the new chips, especially reduced energy consumption and lower heat generation in the load. By the end of this year, TSMC wants to produce around 100 million units of these new processors. The Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer cooperated with Applem highly praises, as it earns them huge sums of money. TSMC is the last two generations of processors exclusive supplier Applu. Whether it will maintain this position in the coming years is, however, largely unknown. If it will Apple satisfied with the production, there will be no reason to change.
