Press Release: Smartphones and tablets are not cheap at all these days, their price can climb up to a dizzying thirty thousand crowns. So the question arises, how to best protect such an expensive device? You can buy different protective covers, but the main one will clearly be the protective display. What is the best way to protect the display? There can be two solutions!
The most vulnerable part of your phone or tablet is clearly the display. Personally, I have never been a supporter of protective glass or foil, relying on my caution and the durability of the display itself. But then one fine morning I woke up with a stomach ache, a severe headache, I grabbed my phone and I was horrified. I had a so-called spider across the entire display. So I Googled: Display repair iPhone – Prague, looked through the offer, chose the one that I thought was the best in terms of quality / price and had the display replaced. Just to be sure, I immediately asked the gentleman for some information on how I should best protect my new display.
At first the gentleman talked about protective film to the display. He told me that the protective film mainly protects the display against scratches and abrasions, not against major impacts or falls. The protective film package included a cleaning cloth for easy installation. A Czech manual on how to apply the film to the display was printed on the box. Then he brought for comparison protective tempered glass.
He placed three types of tempered glass on the counter that he found suitable. The first one he brought was classic tempered glass, transparent, straight, which covered a straight part of my display. The glass reached a hardness of 9H and had an oleophobic layer. Subsequently, he unpacked two tempered glasses, they bore the markings 3D tempered glass a Premium 3D Tempered Glass. The first mentioned glass was thinner than the premium one, there was a thin adhesive plastic on the non-display parts of the display, which was rounded so that the glass also protected the rounded parts of the display. The second, premium glass was made entirely of glass.
The edges of the glass were also rounded so that the glass also protects the rounded edges of the display. NakoneI chose 3D tempered glass, the guy stuck it on me right at the store and it still protects my display well to this day.
Foils are evil if you put it on crookedly on the first try, when you take it off you have a kilo of dust = bubbles = better to pay extra for glass that you can take off and put on without bubbles. And what I don't recommend is buying foil from AliExpress because you'll scratch it by swiping the towel.
Imagine that I still buy from Ali and not from an overpriced Slovak and I didn't have a single problem with those glasses? you think alza, and I don't know which shops make the glasses themselves? Everything is done and some e-shops don't even bother to make their own photos and throw photos from aliexpress on the site
They are ripping people off, all glasses are worth €0.30 max..
So 30 cents, right? but then I order around €5/pc and here they cost €30-40???
definitely glass, better is better, better protective properties than foil, which only protects against scratchesancami, the glass protects the display when it falls, we have already dropped it a couple of times and it always came off from the protective glass and the display is not damaged, I would rather buy 2-3 pieces of glass a year with a total value of €45 than change the display twice a year for exorbitant prices
Definitely neither
The device should have sufficient protection from the factory
I don't glue anything and I'm satisfied
I also don't use glass anymore, because the weight is already quite familiar on Pluska, with 3D glasses, the transparency of the LCD is about a millimeter around the circumference of the white version, and the swipe from the side works... so without glass and foil..
Exactly.. neither.. I'm just protecting the back.
I already had glass and I always took it off, you already have a cover, whether it's silicone or something else, and the glass is just thick, it just bothers me... the film is sufficient as protection, but if you have iphone Plus, I would recommend glass, because this phone falls more than the classic one ;)
Glass and tea :) would have saved the display recently
I glass and it also saved.. but it didn't last long? the foil holds up well for the price
Also 3D glass for me. I already have a second one, the first one already saved my display? ?
I have tempered glass on my iPhone 5s and it's great
I don't use anything, I know how to treat my iPhone properly :) I only have a leather case on the back, the original one from applu
I don't have it. iphone but definitely tempered glass. :) I dropped it once without the glass and it was completely broken.. so I have it on the new one and it saved me perfectly with another amazing inflexibility
For years, he has reserved the form of insurance for all products Apple what I have.
And 1000 times I have already praised this procedure to heaven, because absolutely all of them got damaged sooner or later.
Tempered glass + phone insurance?
For me, tempered glass for screen protection is better than foil because the finger slides better on it. At least from my experience..maybe my hands sweat more, I don't know. At the same time, you can buy tempered glass for phones of various brands today at an excellent price, so it pays to buy more for stock. I recently searched for Samsung and found a good e-shop:
