American miniThe Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued one specific ban earlier this week due to growing concerns about terrorist attacks on airplanes. Donald Trump Earlier this week, the US government banned the use of large electronic devices on board aircraft flying from any of ten international airports in the Middle East and North Africa to the United States, Reuters reported.
All electronic devices larger than a mobile phone, i.e. tablets and laptops, can only be transported by air if they are packed in baggage stored in the hold.
Terrorist groups try to use commercial aviation to smuggle explosive devices in various consumer items. For this reason, stricter measures have been introduced at 10 airports. After a few hours, Great Britain also introduced similar measures, which banned large electronic devices on board planes heading to the country from the countries of the Middle East (Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia).
