For some of these tasks, the default Preview application on your Mac will be enough, but if you want to tackle more demanding tasks, then you need to reach for better applications. nakonec there is no option to convert PDF documents to .docx (Word), .xlsx (Excel), .pptx (PowerPoint), .html, .txt, .rtf, .epub and not even .pages, which some similar programs cannot do. Of course, converting also works the other way around, so for example you can make a PDF from a .docx document, but this function is also supported Microsoft Word or Pages od Appyou.
PDF Editor is great, it is definitely one of the best programs for editing PDF documents and converting to other formats. A big bonus of the application is the support for OCR, i.e. a method that can digitize printed text. On the other hand, the lack of support for fullscreen mode in macOS and the higher price ($99,95), which is typical for advanced PDF editing programs, bother me a little.
