The economy and profits that revolve around mobile applications are currently at their peak. This is also proven by the fact that thanks to App Store will make thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of developers rich every year. While most developers are highly skilled in programming over Swift in the application Xcode, there are also many young or even older developers who develop applications so-called "on the knee" and have no professional training. A shining example is a woman from Japan who showed the world that she can fulfill her dream, work on herself and learn new things regardless of age.
Let us introduce you to Masako Wakamiya, an 81-year-old native of Japan who programmed her first app for a mobile operating system. iOSHer Hinadan app has made it to App Store a few weeks ago and Wakamiju created it to honor a Japanese tradition that is commonly known as hinamacuri. However, most of you will know this holiday as “Doll Day” or “Girls’ Day.” So, it is a celebration that takes place on March 3rd. The tradition honors the Empress and women.
Hinadan is basically a game to help teach Japanese people the proper ways to dress for the said festival. You move 12 dolls according to their clothing to 12 different fields, once you have all the dolls correctly sorted according to ethics, the game is over.
Interestingly, Wakamia started using a computer when she was 60 years old, that is 21 years ago. However, thanks to her persistence, she was able to program a unique application. By the way, this elderly "grandmother" not only develops applications, but even runs her own blog. The application was even presented at the TED conference in Tokyo.
If you wanted to download the work of the 81-year-old Japanese woman, we have to disappoint you, the application is not available in the Czech Republic.
