Press Release: Company QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced the release of a new desktop 16-bay Super NAS TS-1685 enterprise-class Xeon® D processor that supports twelve 3,5″ hard drives and four 2,5″ SSDs, provides six M.2 SSD slots, and features a powerful Intel® Xeon® D processor to could perform excellently with high capacity storage. Designed to optimize enterprise IT infrastructure, the TS-1685 comes with three PCIe interface slots that support 10GbE/40GbE network cards, PCIe NVMe SSDs, graphics cards and USB 3.1 expansion cards providing a complete business-ready storage solution that includes security and scalability.
The TS-1685 features a high-performance multi-core Intel® Xeon® D processor and up to 128GB DDR4 RAM to achieve read speeds of up to 2MB/s in a dual 339GbE network configuration. Four dedicated 10″ SSD slots and six M.2,5 SATA 2Gb/s SSD slots offer excellent cache acceleration, and combined with Qtier™ technology, the TS-6 can continuously optimize storage efficiency for M.1685 SSDs, SSDs , high-capacity SATA drives and optional PCIe NVMe SSDs.

Q'center transforms the TS-1685 into a centralized management system for more QNAP NAS in different locations and allows you to monitor system logs, perform maintenance, and update firmware.

The high-capacity TS-1685 not only supports advanced virtualization environments (such as VMware®, Citrix®, Microsoft® Hyper-V® and Windows Server® 2012 R2) but also offers direct hosting of multiple virtual machines with systems Windows®, Linux®, UNIX® and Android™ using Virtualization Station and run an almost unlimited number of LXC container applications and Docker® using Containers Station.
