Netflix has announced that it will replace user ratings based on stars. This will make thumbs up/down their way on Netflix. Users' previous star ratings will be used to personalize their profiles. However, the ability to rate a TV series or movie with stars will disappear. According to Netflix, subscribers have given more than 10 billion five-star ratings and more than half of all members have rated more than 50 titles. NakoneHowever, the company concluded that star ratings have become less relevant. Some users give documentaries 5 stars, while "stupid" films only 3 stars. However, they are more likely to watch "stupid" films than highly rated ones.
