A few months ago, the company added Instagram, which was acquired by the American giant a few years ago. Facebook, a revolutionary new feature it called Stories. It essentially took over these stories from its competitor Snapchatu, which built on it. Users have embraced and started using these stories quite quickly, as they are a quick way to share your day with your followers. Unlike regular posts, photos and videos from your story disappear after 24 hours.

However, some may not like these stories to be seen by unwanted people. Fortunately for them, Instagram allows you to hide stories from specific people in the settings. It is also possible to additionally set who can reply to your stories using a message. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to limit this for individuals, but only for followers, followed or to turn off replies completely.
As iOS hide your Stories and limit the ability to reply in the Instagram app
- Launch the Instagram app.
- Click on your profile in the bottom panel.
- Click on the gear in the upper right corner, which will take you to settings.
- Select Stories Settings.
- The first option is to select the people you want to hide your Stories from. Once clicked, a list of all your followers will appear. Tick them to hide your story from them.
- Just below the previous option is the option to limit replies to your stories. You can choose from your followers; followers you follow and off.

Below this option is another toggle that allows you to automatically save posts you add to your story to your device. By default, this option is turned off because Stories are intended to be temporary content that is permanently deleted after a certain amount of time. However, if you want to keep your experiences on your device, you can turn it on.onechat, check this option and you won't lose photos and videos.
