Concepts of the upcoming iPhone 8 is considerably less than the various estimates, rumors and speculations. Among the latest concepts is the proposal of an almost frameless design with an OLED display. One of the advantages of OLED displays is much deeper blacks, while the "Dark Mode" in iOSWe can see from the concept that it is a very pleasant sight.
Designer Vianney la Masne showcased the combination of Dark Mode, OLED display, and bezel-less design. He explains that Dark Mode is more than just an inversion of white and black pixels, especially when combined with this type of design on an OLED display. Concept photos highlight how Dark Mode blurs the contrast between the edge of the display and the frame of the phone, creating the illusion of “no bezels.”one"design".
Switching to dark mode erases the visual boundaries between the edge of the display and the body of the phone, which is further enhanced by the fact that OLED displays - unlike classic displays - are not backlit, but their individual points emit light. Manse's concept perfectly illustrates the designer's vision of the Dark Mode interface, which is further enhanced by the black color of the phone.
In the concept, we can further see that the use of the so-called functional area at the bottom of the phone guarantees full use of the display. The only unused and unusable part in this concept is the top bezel that houses the speaker for making calls.

This is shown to us by the same designer who also did it for iOS 10.3. ? ?
I would fix it so that the designer shows how dark mode COULD look.
Next year? This year, maybe? max. 7S
Instead of the iPhone 7s, they could start producing Airpods… ??
Well, much deeper blacks with OLED, I'd probably like to look at the current generation of LCE, e.g. iPhone 7 or QLCD at Samsung :-)
Well, I would say that there will be a dark mode only for the model with an OLED display, and I understand that it wasn't there until today, because the black on the IPS panel doesn't look good, in addition, on the OLED panel, the dark mode will save a lot of battery, because not all the pixels will light up, but only those that have
