If you turn the crown a lot, it will completely light up the display.
How to activate the function and thus allow the display to light up by turning the digital crown? To activate, we first launch the application Watch, then we click on the option In general, where we select the option Wake up screen. We activate the option in the list Wake the screen when turning the crown.
Apple ve watchOS 3 also turned off the Time Travel feature that debuted in watchOS 2. Time Travel is a feature that allows you to keep track of events in the near future and by turning the digital crown you can work on what you have planned for the next day, for example. You can also go back in time, so you have an overview of what you have already completed or what has happened. A bonus in this feature is that in addition to events from the calendar and other applications, you can also see weather information.
If you want the function on your Apple Watch Series 2 enable, then go to the application Watch, then select an option Hodiny and turn on the switch Time Travel to the on position.

So I don't know :-( I have current software 3.1.3, a Series 1 watch, and I don't have the display turned on with the crown, nor the time travel function deactivated. There is not even a letter about it in the settings. Where did the error occur?
I don't have it there...
I'll add that I don't have this option in the settings either
I don't have it + I have time to travel. But I have the first Apple Watch. Series 1 are renewed.
Waking up the display with the digital crown only works on Apple watch Series 2. On Series 1 you will not find this function in the menu.
