Consumer electronics company Sonos introduces the Playbase TV and music speaker. This is a successor second generation Play:5 from 2015 and its retail price is $699 (approx. 18 thousand crowns). The Playbase wireless speaker, which will be available in black and white variaIt will go on sale next month.

Playbase is placed under TVs with maxIt weighs 34 kilograms. It measures 5,8 x 72 x 36 centimeters, making it the thinnest speaker Sonos has ever made. It can be installed under wall-mounted TVs. Sonos Playbar also for $699. However, the company claims that nearly 7 out of 10 TVs are not wall-mounted, which is why it made the Playbase for those customers.
The Playbase wireless speaker connects to your TV via optical audio cable. It allows for nighttime sound setup and wireless connectivity with a Sonos Sub and two Sonos Play:1 speakers. It also features Sonos Trueplay tuning for precise sound settings and supports over 80 music services, including Apple Music and Spotify. The manufacturer still plans to introduce voice control via Amazon Alexa and Echo and Dot support.
The Sonos Playbase wireless speaker goes on sale on April 4, 2017. But you can pre-order it now at Sonos.com.
