- Launch the application itself Pages.
- In the top panel, click the button Pages.
- Select Preferences.
- On the General tab you will find the For new documents section. In it, select the option Use template: Empty. Additionally, you can use the button under this option to change the basic template to one of the other pre-installed ones.
- Close the window.
The next time you start it, you will no longer have to select a template and you will be moved directly to a blank page on which you can start writing.
