In October last year, Nintendo introduced its new Switch game console. It is a hybrid device that we have never had on the market before. Sometimes you have a game controller, sometimes a tablet, sometimes a handheld, and sometimes aoneor a real home console that you connect to your TV. It all revolves around the Joy-Con side controllers, which can be removed from the Switch body itself.

Both detachable Joy-Cons can be used by either one player in each hand, or each player will control the game with one Joy-Cononem. The console went on sale last week. The Nintendo Switch even has a surprising feature for iMac owners or MacBooku.

The aforementioned controls can also be paired with computers from Applu. Users can control simple games directly using the Joy-Cons. Inside the controls are several sensors that also respond to movement - similar to the Wii. Like the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller, it also connects to the Joy-Con console via Bluetooth. However, if we want to connect the PlayStation 4 DualShock to a Mac, we have to use a USB cable, but this does not apply to the Nintendo Switch console. All you need to do is open it on your Mac, Windows PC or on your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings, where the Joy-Cons will appear and you can pair them with your device. Unfortunately, the controllers cannot be connected to iOS.

How to Pair a Nintendo Controller with a Mac

As mentioned, pairing is really simple. On the Mac, we'll go to System preference (Apple -> System Preferences...), where we click on the option Bluetooth. Then your Mac prosearch for all Bluetooth devices in the vicinity, where it should also find two Joy Cones, which will be marked in the menu as: Joy Con (L)Joy Con (R). We click on the names and that's how we paired the Joy-Cons with the Mac.
