A research team from the University of Texas has developed a new battery technology that is safer and more powerful. According to the server PCWorld is a team led by ninety-four-year-old John Goodenough, who also created the original lithium-ion battery. With the new all-solid-state battery comes several useful properties, such as non-flammability. Thanks to this, they will not experience similar problems with spontaneous combustion, as happened with the Note 7 from Samsung.
The technology uses a solution in the form of a glass electrolyte that eliminates metal particles that bridge the gaps between the positive and negative plates during fast charging. These metal particles are then responsible for battery fires and explosions.

All-solid-state batteries promise faster charging and up to three times the capacity compared to classic lithium-ion batteries. This means that the new batteries can be the same size as lithium-ion batteries, but will have three times the power. And it would only take a few minutes to charge it.
It is not yet known when all-solid-state batteries will appear in devices. This technology, which solves many of the problems associated with current lithium-ion batteries, could be used not only in smartphonesonebut also in electric cars, power banks and the like.

Before they finish testing, 50 years will pass, as with all things that are three times better.
It's been here many times, there's no interest in making it
If it could be replaced with every iPhone, it would be great??
Every six months someone comes up with a revolutionary new technology, but the fact is that we have been with Li-ion for many years and the services of scientists, inventors and speculators are always forgotten.
it doesn't change anything. my dear one will still charge all night and chargejackto carry with you :)
That's strength.
three times the endurance……so nine minutes? :) :)
??
Will the fire be on the roof... or under the roof?
every year there are several reports like this, it's just a shame that it's just empty talk and wishful thinking for consumers
yeah great and will it also explode like samsung?
Don't we know when the technology will pass? I'll tell you. So 20 years after it will have android.
I recently read here that the "supercapacitor" has already been successfully tested. Charged in seconds and lasts a week. So these scientists are a little off the mark…
