FitBit currently rules the market for smart bracelets and watches, and one of their most successful products is certainly the Alta fitness bracelet. Last year, it reached our editorial office in autumn, and you can read the review directly here. The Alta was almost perfect, but it lacked one convenience compared to the competition – a heart rate sensor. Even Fitbit itself was aware of this and that is why it is now coming up with a new generation. The company introduced the Fitbit Alta HR yesterday.

The updated version thus comes more than a year after the introduction of the original model. The Fitbit Alta HR offers everything that its older brother does. It can therefore monitor sleep, automatically recognize the type of movement, count the number of steps, and based on this, determine the calories burned and encourage you to move, similar to Apple Watch. The new model also has a seven-day battery life on a single charge and the ability to receive notifications from a mobile phone. Newly, however, thanks to PurePulse technology directly from Fitbit, it can measure its owner's heart rate at regular intervals throughout the day.

Thanks to the heart rate sensor, the previous functions have also been improved. Fitbit Alta HR can now better identify sleep stages, telling you in the morning how long you had light, heavy and REM sleep. The bracelet is also better able to determine how many times you woke up during the night and tell you how good your sleep was overall. The new Sleep Insights function can evaluate the collected data and, based on this, recommend new ways to improve the quality of your rest. Thanks to the heart rate measurement, the counting of burned calories has also been improved, where the new bracelet determines more accurate results and thus allows the user to better achieve their daily goals.

Like all other Fitbit devices, the new Alta HR will be available in several colors. variawith various tapes.
