CEO Applu Tim Cook spoke to the public in the eventin Cupertino. Here he attended a screening of a documentary film by a member of the company's board of directors Apple Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power". The screening took place on Thursday, March 2.

The sequel follows Gore's previous Academy Award-winning 2006 film An Inconvenient Truth. The aim of the film was to get people who rejected the idea of ​​climate change to change their minds. In the sequel, you can see, among other things, how Al Gore visited Donald Trump last December, with whom he wanted to talk about climate change.

Cook was among the select audience members selected in Silicon Valley to watch the screening of the film. Before the screening began, he took to the stage toonesl speech that was supposed to introduce the film.

"... ten years later we can still observe the signs of a climate crisis around us, but there are great reasons for optimism... market entities in many places in the world are being rewarded for using renewable energy sources, but time is of course still running and the urgency has never been greater high. That's why I think there couldn't be a better time to release the film, and I'd like to meet everyone behind it, starting with Al Gore.”

After the screening, a panel discussion began. In its framework, Al Gore spoke about the goals that Apple achieved in the field of using renewable energy sources, and stated that it is important to know that Apple in the United States on 100% uses these resources. In the rest of the world, it is 93%.

The documentary should be officially released on June 28 of this year.
