For a new one Apple TV The app should be able to do the same and could perhaps offer other options like playback from NAS and the like. Details about the features have not been released yet, but the developer studio has already started beta testing, which you can already register for now.
Such a lovely product for Christmas…
I want Mario :)
Ifuse has been able to play from the network since probably forever.
Ondřej Vališ: It was meant to be, right? Apple TV could therefore be able to play from a NAS
Then it would be ideal to get AC wifi at home, because streaming over that 100v will not be much for movies in better quality :-D
What are the prices of applications for Apple TV?
Daniel Pražák: well, it will mainly be for playing from the network, because the application won't upload much to itself, due to system limitations.
I want to ask, is it possible to download applications from the classic version? app. the whole thing or just the 39 applications listed in the article?
I wonder if Plex will have to be pre-paid or if it will work with the home server directly...
ProShouldn't a 100Mbit/s network be enough? In my opinion, it's enough for full HD.
At 100 Mbit/s, I play a Blu-ray movie from a NAS on a 5-year-old eGreat without cutting.
Kikan: it's enough for you even for 4K and if you have several devices connected via wi-fi at home, ATV via cable will be a better choice :)
