UAG Folio I received the case for testing a few weeks ago and since I thought it should really last a while, I didn't rush into writing a review, because I was curious how it would handle phone drops, how it would react to the heat that has been prevalent in recent weeks and how it would hold up overall. After a few weeks of testing, IoneWe can now look responsibly at the review of the packaging, which meets the military drop-test standard MIL STD 810G 516.
AUG Folio Case is flipThis is a case made of a material that the manufacturer calls FrogSkin and is waterproof. As a result, it is something between rubber, plastic and polystyrene foam. It is thanks to this material that the case really holds up well, even when your hand is sweaty. The case has flipThis is a new design, with the display about four millimeters below the case. If you close the case with the top part, it fits exactly between the edge of the case and the display. So everything basically works like a stopper, thanks to which you have a layer about half a millimeter thick above and around the display, which protects the entire phone.
What personally pleased me a lot is the fact that, even though it is a case for extreme conditions, you simply put the phone in it and press it, and the whole installation ends there. So if you already have a case and you use it during normal days and you want to get a UAG when you go for example on a bike or run on rocks somewhere, then you don't have to worry about the fact that changing the cases will take more than a few seconds.
So how are you? flipAs is customary with these cases, you can also put a credit card on the inside of the part covering the display, in this case three cards can fit here, so if you go cycling, you have your insurance card, credit card and ID card with you, which is more than enough for all the crazy things you are going to do. The front part is held on the display thanks to a loop that attaches to the back of the cover with a magnet. Even when the phone is in the case, it still feels compact, especially when you consider the kind of falls the phone can survive in the case. For example, I put twelve liters of water in a glass barrel on it and the phone didn't fall at all. nestHello. A fall from two meters is a complete piece of cake, even onto concrete.
The case is not waterproof, but it still protects the volume buttons and the Power Button, but the buttons to change the ring mode and all ports are free. You can make phone calls with the cover even when you have it closed, because there is a hole for the microphone in the front cover.
It is pointless to talk about the quality of workmanship of a case that can almost survive being run over by a tank, because everything is clearly tip-top. What I like is the fact that even if the phone gets hit by the body, the case still holds and is not damaged, so not only the phone will last a long time, but also the case itself, which you will not easily scratch or destroy.
