Instagram on its yesterday evening blog introduced a pair of new formats for photos and videos posted on its social network. Originally, it was only possible to upload photos or videos in square formats, so if you had, for example, a photo taken in landscape or portrait format, Instagram automatically imposed a square crop on it and, for example, with panorama images, there were only unsightly white stripes around the photo after the upload was complete.

Newly, however, the user can upload a photo to Instagram that is taken either in landscape format or in panorama format or in portrait format, and upload it to Instagram without the need to crop it into a square shape and thus spoil the original beauty of the photo. The same changes also apply to videos, for which it is also new that all the filters that Instagram offers for photos can now be used to edit them. Originally, it was possible to use only a few filters designed specifically for videos.
