I had the complete iWork package, which allows you to open and save documents in MS format, but…. anyone who has had a similar experience already knows – formatting MS documents is possible, but the result is absolutely disastrous.. So how does the document appear to you, for example, in Pages is completely different from the same document in WordAfter some fighting and persuasion I was nakonec forced to install MS office for mac. Although it's not a hit parade either, the formatting result is now fully compatible with the PC version.
Finally, my recommendation – if you are only creating personal documents or if people with the same software will be involved in editing, then iWork is completely problem-free and “easy to use”. However, if you are collaborating on documents with MS PC users office you can't avoid it (at least in the mac version).
