For a new one Apple TV we've been waiting too long and it looks like after a few years people are starting to look at newer competing products. As shown in the statistics for 2014, popularity Apple TV in the US (where it has the most content available), it has dropped to the point that it has been overtaken by virtually all competition, including players who have only recently entered the market – Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick and Google Nexus Player, which was only announced at the end of last year. So it's no longer just about the eternal struggle between Applom and Roku, which continues to be the most popular streaming box maker, thanks to features like the app store, a feature we've been waiting for in Apple TV since 2010 and this plan even approved Steve Jobs.

Being one of the very first companies to enter this market, Roku continues to maintain its lead with a 34% share. It is followed by Google with a share of 23% and a newcomer entered the Top 3, Amazon. This managed to surpass the sales Applu, together with which they have a 29% share. The remaining 14% belong to devices from other companies. Statistics further show that currently almost 20% of US households own one or more streaming boxes. Roku is the most popular, used by 37% of households, while 17% use it Chromecast, 17% Apple TV and 14% Amazon Fire TV. Unfavorable situation for Apple but it may change in the future if the company after years of waiting presents a new generation that offers people enough reasons to switch. It is currently the oldest sold iOS equipment on the market.
