Twitter has officially removed the 140 character limit when writing private messages

The popular social network Twitter, which, however, has not gained as much popularity here as, for example, in the USA, differs from others primarily in that it offers short messages, i.e. well-known tweets that are read by almost everyone in a moment. It still has millions of loyal users, because it only takes a moment to break through a wall where there are several short messages. The limit for each tweet is set at 140 characters, including a link to, for example, a shared article, which is why Twitter has become so popular with URL shorteners such as goo.gl.

The same limit also applied to private messages, i.e. tweets that you send only to a selected user and only they and you can see them. The 140 characters limit when tweeting with friends was quite restrictive and many users called for improvements. Twitter everyone nakonec complied with a limit for direct private messages today after the June announcement tooneremoved, so Twitter became a full-fledged chatservice without obstacles. The change concerns the Android application, iOS, OS X, TweetDeck and official website twitter.com.
