Apple, respectively its marketing director Phil Schiller, initially criticized the technology NFC and practically everything that had nothing to do with it Applu. Among other things, there were also applications for Android, and he took his patriotism so seriously that when Instagram announced that his application would no longer be available only on iPhone, immediately canceled his profile and commented that the service has long passed its golden days. Apple however, he is changing his mind and, for example, is now planning to release the first two apps for Android, and is also apparently planning to announce more, as the company published an advertisement, in which she was looking for developers of new Android applications (iCloud Drive? Apple photos?).

However, the company has now taken another step, which somehow undermines one of Schiller's earlier statements. Apple has just become one of the main sponsors of the organization NFC A forum that consists of several companies that develop and use NFC in their facilities. He has also been using it since last year Apple, specially for service Apple Pay, which is gradually reaching other countries. At the same time, the company became a member of the organization's board of directors NFC and the chairman for Apple is Aon Mujtaba, director of the team responsible for the development of wireless systems for iPhone. The news was announced by Forum Director Paula Hunter.

NFC The Forum aims to develop near-field technologies, ensure compatibility between individual devices and services, and finally aims to spread the technology in the world. Apple will now directly participate in the development of new versions of the standard NFC and at the same time will enable the development of some products to be accelerated. Moreover, the company should in the future iPhone use an even more advanced chip that will have greater capabilities than just making payments. So it will be interesting to see how Apple it will help develop a technology that has been used in our area for a long time, but is only now spreading in America. Apple also previously became a member of the USB Promoter Group and the Bluetooth SIG. He laid the foundations of USB-C technology, which he also used in his latest MacBookua also developed Thunderbolt technology in collaboration with Intel, which did not make it to many computers with Windowsom, but today we can find it on practically every computer from Applu, including MacBooku Air.
