We haven't heard practically anything about this year's iPads, and practically until now it was a mystery whether Apple does it even plan to introduce new tablets this year or not. But the OS X El Capitan system hides mentions of the fact that we will definitely see it in the fall/autumn minialmost new iPad mini 4, which will bring a lot of improvements compared to today's models and will offer new functions in addition to more powerful hardware and a new design. And one of them will apparently be split-screen multitasking, which was originally announced as an exclusive feature of the pre iPad Air 2, which was the most powerful iOS device at present.
But it seems that iPad mini 4, thanks to more powerful hardware, it can display two applications at once in 50/50 mode, which may mean that the new tablet will offer an A8X processor or later. The question, however, is how such applications will look, since the iPad screen is still a bit small and one can only imagine something like two iPhone 6 Plus side by side when looking at it - i.e. multitasking for iPad mini 4 would have to look a bit different than the large iPad for certain apps to be usable.
And how it was discovered that iPad mini 4 can support split-screen multitasking? We can thank the developer Hamza Sood for the discovery, who regularly reveals v beta versions iOS and OS X information that has yet to surface. This is how he revealed in the past, for example Touch ID pre iPhone 5s or last year confirmed the existence of two different resolutions of u iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. This time he managed to find the information thanks to a single file in Safari 9 for OS X El Capitan. It is also possible to view split-screen multitasking pro iPad mini in a tool that allows developers to simulate how an app looks on different screens. It is marked in the program for understandable reasons iPad mini 3, but it does not support multitasking due to insufficient performance.
