Square Enix is one of those publishers that tries to set the bar high, and the prices of its games in App Store. No wonder, Square is selling its history here in an updated form, and JRPG fans can wish for such an amount for Final Fantasy. But FF is not the only series you can find in App Store and alongside it we will also meet other cult brands such as Hitman or Lara Croft. And it is Lara, as the main, ahem, actress in the dreams of many players, who will receive a new title that is different from all the previous ones. Partly because you won't get as good a view of Lara here as in the other installments.
The new Lara will follow in the footsteps of the recently released mobile Hitman, which is why Square has decided to keep the same concept and the same name. Lara Croft GO is a turn-based game and can be just as addictive as Hitman, which in App Store maintains a very good rating. This is partly due to the fact that the game is freemium, and it can be expected that the same applies to Lara. The game is released on August 27 iPhone also iPad.
Square Enix, in collaboration with its subsidiary Crystal Dynamics, has also launched a special contest where the DeviantArt community and similar talented people can show off their skills. They have prepared a competition, within which they can draw artworks inspired by Lara Croft GO. Subsequently, these works will be put into the hands of experts (and Square Enix really has them), who will select the 10 best works. These will be presented during a party at PAX Prime in Seattle, which takes place just one day after the game's release. Of these, the 3 best works will go to the auction, while the money raised will go to the Child's Play foundation. If you make a living or want to showcase your drawing skills, send your creation to info@square-enix-montreal.com with the subject Lara Croft GO Art Contest Submission. And don't forget to mention your name, it would be a shame not to know the name of this talent.
