Personally, I have never used jailbreak to download paid apps for free. First of all, I don't even need any and I can get by with only a few necessary ones that I use daily, and secondly, they are always out of date in most cases anyway, and I think that it is when downloading a paid application for free that the biggest risk is that you install some modified application that it will only install something unwanted on your device.

So after installing on 4S the call and text icon disappeared and the repair attempt did not improve the situation. Cydia is functional, but without calls and text messages the phone is unusable. I have to do a restore :-( I've never had that happen before nestHello. But it's possible that it went haywire because I did the FW update via OTA. I read somewhere that this can cause problems.
So after restoring via itunes, I tried again and everything is now working as it should. So it looks like it really could have been the update via OTA.
Hi, unfortunately I can't do it according to the instructions. I get error 1001
for the fourth time everything is fine.. thanks
