I've been waiting for this day for fifteen years and I've been dreaming about it since the moment when, as a little snot, I rode the trolley bus to training with a walkman and the album 2001 was playing on the cassette! Dr. Dre exclusively announced during the Beats 1 broadcast that fans have been waiting for, and after fifteen years, he is releasing his solo album, which will be exclusively available only on iTunes and Apple MusicThe album will be available on August 7, 8, this Friday, but you can pre-order it today.
The new album will offer 16 tracks and we will see names such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Xzibit, King Mez, Kendrick Lamar, Jon Connor and others. The album is called Compton and Soundtrack, and it seems that it has nothing to do with the originally expected Detox album, which Dre announced ten years ago, as there are two singles missing that should have come from Detox, namely Kush and I need a Doctor, where Dre performed with Eminem. So the question is whether Detox is still waiting somewhere in a drawer or we will never see it again.
