The image you're looking at is the original Mac icon created by Tom Hughes and John Casado. To this day, you are fans of the company Apple they thought that the inspiration for this icon was definitely Pablo Picasso and his work. After all, Picasso's style is very similar to what you see in the picture. The computer was even called the Picasso Mac, and until now really everyone who was interested in computers Apple they believed that it was a symbol created based on the works of the master Picasso.
However, after several decades, the Cult of Mac server contacted one of the authors, namely John Casado, and asked him where he got the inspiration to create a cult icon that has become a symbol of an entire generation of computer enthusiasts.
“We thought I could breathe inspiration for the trademark of the first Mac. We were tasked by Tom Hughes after it became clear that Folon's version of the logo would not be presented for business reasons. We met with Steve and Tom and spent some time talking to everyone involved. After a few weeks I created my presentation and we stated that the inspiration for this style was Matiss, whom we admired as an artist. The description of the graphic as the style of Pablo Picasso was, as I recall, created by journalists at the time when the logo was first introduced. I don't think since then anyone has asked me or Tom where the inspiration really comes from. We have never publicly stated this," said John Casado.
