Rolocule has decided to release on iTunes today App Store the very first game that uses the Rolomotion sensor for its functionality. At its core, Rolomotion is a technology that transforms users iPhone or iPod touch to game controller pre Apple TV, in this case literally. Unlike other supported games AirPlay Rolocule requires the image to be broadcast to the TV screen. The concept might feel like Rolocule decided to transform Apple TV into a game console that uses the Nintendo Wii principle.

Rolocule presented its concept already in mid-April and we informed you about it in a separate article. The first game to use Rolomotion technology is Motion Tennis. Motion Tennis requires users to stream the image to Apple TV through AirPlay, since the entire game uses the iPhone's most important motion sensors, i.e. gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer. Thanks to these three sensors, players grab their iPhone as a game controller and, following the example of the Nintendo Wii, simulate the movements of a tennis racket while playing.

Motion Tennis can be considered a kind of alternative to Wii Sports, but it will offer only one sports discipline. Among other things, the game also offers a multiplayer mode with friends or family. The game can only be played with two devices at a time, and it must be a device with a processor Apple A5 or later. So only users can play the game iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation. The second condition is the system iOS 6.0 or later and Apple TV 2nd or 3rd generation for support AirPlay Mirroring.
