The article is about cases for iPhone with a built-in battery, not the normal polycarbonate ones. I don't know what exactly is interesting about the translucent design :)
Anyway, mophie products are the best. Although not the cheapest of similar types, but definitely the highest quality. I have to iPhone 4S and even after more than a year it works perfectly.
