I personally respect the article in Slovak, because it is not written in Czech. But if I could choose whether to read the same article in Czech or Slovak, I'd rather read it in Czech. In other words, if there were only articles on the road, I would be a much happier reader. In Slovak, it is a virtue out of necessity...

It's a problem that younger people around 15-17 don't know much Slovak anymore. I am 24 years old and occasionally go to Slovakia for work. Around Bratislava I can understand without a problem, but here in Kremnica I already had a bit of a problem. I can understand more or less what Slovakian has put out there, and I'm not surprised that the younger generation really doesn't understand.
I guess the point here is that "I don't know if the Slovak brothers are poor or even more handsome (lazy) than us" a lot of films and series are broadcast on Slovak stations in Czech, or they don't play on them at all, so they watch them again or download them in Czech... well, in Czech they understand and it doesn't bother them much...
However, here I am guessing the generation from 1995-20xx and younger, they do not understand Slovak at all, families have moved away, Slovak channels cannot be tuned in, most of them are Czechs, or directly Matloni from Pepíkov, who have Polish land behind Brno (it's not a joke, I met it in real life, in Pepíkov) and the old ones who know/know a lot about apple Norths don't listen... or they don't care.
