With the arrival of the first beta system version iOS 7 to Apple decided to make a fundamental iSight camera improvements, and therefore it is not surprising that this change also affected another popular utility, the video camera. As we found out yesterday, Apple already in this beta version has fundamentally improved the zoom quality of photos, and as we find out today, Apple decided to add a zoom option to the video camera as well. It is not yet certain whether this is just a feature betaversion iOS 7, or we will also see this feature in the final seventh version of the system iOS.
This gesture is not hidden in any way and all you need to do is to start recording the video and perform the old familiar gesture, i.e. spreading two fingers. It's currently unclear whether this feature affects video resolution, but zoomed-in video is still expected to be captured at 1920 x 1080 pixels on newer devices and 1280 x 720 on iPhone 4. It is also speculated that this new feature will be exclusive to the latest devices in the future and thus we will only find it on iPhone 5 to iPhone 5S. Future phone model iPhone should provide a new, higher-quality 12-megapixel camera and improved night vision. This should primarily be taken care of by the new, double flash, which should probably offer a rectangular shape.
