At yesterday's conference WWDC we've had the announcement of a single device hitting stores today, and that device is the latest MacBook Air. Apple decided on new models MacBooku Air to be equipped with Haswell processors, thanks to which there was a significant increase in their battery life. While the previous generation offered only 5 and 7 hours of endurance, the new one will offer 9 and 12 hours of endurance. But the change also affected the overall condition of the device, which is why we can already see the first benchmarks today.

Despite the fact that Apple decided to reduce the processor frequency from 1.7 to 1.3GHz, in benchmarks these devices continue to do better than previous models with Ivy Bridge processors. While last year's models with the basic 1.7GHz processor received a total rating of 5641 and 6029 points, the latest model with a 1.3GHz Intel Core i5 received a rating of 6081 points.

Apple still decided to offer a more powerful model with a more powerful processor, which now provides a frequency of 1.7 GHz. While the previous models clocked at 2GHz received a rating of 6831 points, the new model with a Haswell processor and a lower frequency received a rating of 7097 points, which is more than 250 points higher.
