According to Tim Cookand there are 72 million Macs in the world and their sales have increased more than a hundredfold in the last five years, while PC sales have grown by only 18% in five years. 28 million copies of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion have been sold. And 35% of OS X users have upgraded to Mountain Lion in the first six months. But it's time to introduce OS X 10.9. Apple first joked and presented OS X Sea Lion, saying that it was difficult to find another name for OS X that would match the feline. Nakonec, the company decided to switch to a completely new name, OS X Mavricks. The new OS X Mavrick operating system is designed to offer long battery life and be even more integrated into the hardware.

Since we have many folders and documents, it comes Apple with the new Tags service, thanks to which we can tag individual folders in Finderua we can create new folders easily. Tags then in FinderWe see them not only in the sidebar, but also as tabs, which allow us to browse a large number of folders and files in one window without having to open another window. Additionally, when saving a document, we can create a Tag or save it to an existing Tag, which we can immediately see in FinderThis means that if you create any document, it will immediately be saved directly under that tag, and you will see all documents related to, for example, PDF files in one tag. This makes OS X much more organized.
- The article will be updated gradually with all the details about OS X Mavericks!
Perfectly named. Great news. I look forward to.
Be careful with those numbers – the increase was 100%, so only double.
This was a very embarrassing part of the presentation. Apple had to search for a long time before finding numbers that looked good for OSX. In May, MS announced that it had sold 100 million W8 licenses, so W8 alone is more than all of OSX. The total number of Win installations is at least 10 to 20 times that of OSX.
Although the numbers are correct, they should have given up on this. Win's mocked 18% increase in licenses is certainly much larger than OSX's. If it were otherwise, Tim would be proud.
1. TAGS - well, that's such a small update - they could have thrown it in as part of OS X ML
2. Maps, tooBooks – but again, nothing dazzling. It's good that they put it in Mavericks, but I also don't think it's anything special.
3. Answers to administrations and e-mails directly in notifications - great thing - but again, this is a change worthy of ML and not the new Mavericks
4. iCloud Keychain - noooo this is a cool thing :D although many applications work in a similar way - 1Password and so on but at least it will be integrated directly into the system. However, this is nothing new.
We still have support for multiple displays (which not everyone will use).
I don't know :)
1.I use a 27 inch monitor and monitor Macbook Pro 15 at a time and up until now I have been using macbook just as a storage space and without a single application running in fullscreen mode... thumbs up for me... And I still have apple tv and a 50 inch TV… so definitely a thumbs up too…. I’ve been waiting for this since I got it macbook.
2. Tags are a good thing, but for someone who has order in the system, spotlight is more than enough.
3. The maps are good, but I doubt that with the operator's data tariffs, navigation is appluv u iphonesomehow usable...
4.iBooks I don't use it, only publero.
5.iCloud keychain – a good thing that I will definitely use, because I use three passwords all the time and that is not a very stable and secure solution :-D
6. Notifications on the lock screen are an interesting thing, but it will definitely be based on power nap or whatever the function is called. airua retin. So for me with classic macbookum nothing very interesting
7. Savings in processor usage - up to 73 percent ... in practice it will show ... But I don't believe in any extremely high value... Mainly it will fall under haswell processors rather than for sandy/ivy bridge
8.New finder – I'm really looking forward to not having to use total finder...
9. Battery saving when using flash display when browsing the Internet and then overlaying it with another window – an interesting feature but rather nice on paper and inoneAs a result, it will not be very useful
10. Anti-aliasing when scrolling in safari, emails, etc. – Also a question for which laptop series this will work.
11. 43 percent faster system with SSD drives – also a question of whether this applies to SSD drives from applu or generally for discs from other companies.
