Shortly before the conference WWDC In 2013, a new report from Russia appears, which can in a way confirm that the company Apple is actually about to bring its own smartwatch to market, which we know today by name Apple iWatch. Despite the fact that we currently only expect from the watch functions that would make it able to work with iPhone and others iOS devices, nowadays it is also not excluded that it will be a direct successor to the 6th generation iPod nano. Apple recently tried to get a trademark for the term "iWatch", but not everywhere was successful.

According to the Izvestia portal, Apple recently decided to apply for the trademark "iWatch" primarily in northern European countries. Apple wants to include this concept in international groups 9 and 14, which represent computers and clocks. iWatch should be a multifunctional device, the announcement of which is expected by our editors already at the conference WWDC, in which we are convinced above all by the hint of a colorful watch device directly on the official logo WWDC. As the patents claim, users would receive notifications and alerts from their devices thanks to this device iOS devices, they would be able to move between music tracks and perform other activities. According to analysts, however, we can expect the device only at the end of the year, or in 2014.

The fact that Apple is actually preparing such a device, can also confirm the fact that Apple was trademarked "iWatch" in the territory of Jamaica on December 3/2012. However, with the Apple may have a problem. Already in 2004, Quest Software acquired the trademark I/Watch, in 2007, for a change, Viva Vision Inc. has acquired the IWatch trademark. In this case, however, only marks of the 9th international group, i.e. computer products, are involved. The term "iWatch" in the 14th international group is requested by MZ Berger & Co.

There may be a problem in Russia Apple also thanks to the world-famous watch manufacturer Swatch. A Swiss company registered a patent for the term "iswatch" in Russia, causing a problem for a certain Russian company. In 2011, the Russian patent office, Rospatent, refused to approve the trademark for the term "iWatch" due to the excessive appearance with the Swiss manufacturer's trademark.
