The Italian Competition Authority awarded the company Apple Inc. a fine of €900. The reason for the fine worth 000 million crowns is the deception of consumers. According to the Italian authorities Apple inadequately informed about the guarantees of individual products and did not offer paid assistance services to customers. However, according to Italian legislation, assistance services are supposed to be free for two years, i.e. for the duration of the two-year warranty, which in Italy is the same as in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Simply put, he offered Apple customers the opportunity to purchase Apple Care warranty service, which is paid. Service Apple Care basically includes an improved warranty, including a telephone assistant who solves problems with the customer 24 hours a day. However, according to the Italians, these services are supposed to be free. Of course, these are above-standard services that ordinary companies do not provide with their products within the basic two-year warranty period. However, the problem arose that Apple pressured customers to get improved services Apple Care ordered and did not state that most of what Apple Care contain are entitled to completely free of charge during the warranty period.

Basically, the same problem arose in the Czech Republic, where the situation has not been resolved to this day. We can only hope that the state will solve it on behalf of the consumer, just like in Italy, but that will be a very futile wait in the case of our republic. Apple in the Czech Republic, of course, it offers a two-year warranty period, but it does not inform its customers about this and instead offers extended warranty services for an additional fee. Therefore, if the state works, it can be seen that it can turn around even such a corporation as a company Apple. Unfortunately, the state has to function. So if you have any questions about the license conditions Apple does not appear in the Czech Republic, do not hesitate to contact us immediately MiniMinistry of Industry and Trade and its Consumer Protection Department, contacts you can find here.
