Motorola Mobility has tentatively won a patent lawsuit in Germany that it has with the company Apple Inc. The Mannheim court has issued a preliminary ruling requiring the European branch to Appto stop the distribution and sale of devices that infringe Motorola Mobility's patents. Specifically, these are mobile phones iPhone and iPad tablets in the 3G+WiFi version. The court of course only concerns the German market, not the whole of Europe. However, the dispute could ultimately lead to a complete halt in the sale of iPads 3G+WiFi and iPhones not only in Germany, but also in other European Union countries, which could be inspired by the Mannheim court's decision if Motorola Mobility files the same motion in other countries. "The decision focuses on the European sales organization Applu, but it only applies to sales that this company makes to German customers," says patent law expert Florian Müller.
"We will immediately appeal the court's decision. However, those who will be shopping in Germany for Christmas should have no problem finding exactly the iPad or iPhone"whatever they want," the spokeswoman said Applu Kristin Huguet.
"Motorola Mobility will continue to make every effort to resolve the global patent dispute as soon as possible," Motorola said in a press release. If Motorola decides to exercise its right granted by the German court, it will have to pay a deposit of 100 million euros to the court. Euro, i.e. approximately 2,5 billion crowns. In the event that Apple lawsuitonec won, this deposit or part thereof will cover the costs of lost profits incurred by the company Apple thanks to the ban on the sale of phones and tablets.

To be so bold, but what was the patent dispute about? I'm sorry if I missed it in the article, but it's not clear to me.
I have everything from applu it's a heartfelt matter but this behavior is driving me crazy AppI'm really sorry. They want to create a monopoly and now it's turning against them. I understand that some things are pure copies, mainly from Samsung. But I don't think banning the sale of other products is a good move.
Luke: I don't understand much from the article either...
I expected it. The constant lawsuits from the party Apple they can't always get along. It has to happen sometime, you have to Apple really kicks ass. And I don't want to spoil it. When I put it all together and summarize it, so:
Apple puts out untuned products that don't make a good name. If I take about 3 years out of 5, then MobileMe, Aperture, iPhone 4 antenna, iPhone 4s ( iOS5) flashlight, Thunderbolt display, Final Cut Pro X, etc... Unfortunately, I can't remember a single thing from Apple which, after being put on the market recently, would have done without any problems. Of course, there are problems elsewhere, too Apple has (had?) a reputation as a high-end manufacturer and it shouldn't happen there. In addition to this, the termination of xserve, the already mentioned Final Cut, and I am slowly realizing that z Apple becomes a regular producer of consumer electronics viz. maybe Apple iTV. The hallmark is lawsuits that seem rather arrogant, which are more like grist to the competition's mill. Well, I'm curious if there really will be a sales ban in Europe, how it will turn out. I reckon that in a few years it will be the same as it used to be. Apple buds o5 manufacturer for "a few connoisseurs". Every bubble bursts at some point.
Well, it's actually Google vs Apple, when Motorola is now under Big Brother. Anyway, Google strategically bought it to have on Apple also some levers when they jumped Android and expected slaps.
On the other hand, another manufacturer that will have hardware and software under it is only good for the customer, but the way they achieved this is unethical.
People are slowly starting to realize how it is with the motto don't be evil...
I have a problem with YouTube official on my iPad. app. It's in very poor quality, what should I do to improve it???
V safari it is in normal quality
So let's cut it down Apple he made revolutionary products that everyone copies and sometimes even beyond the boundaries of not only decency but also industrial designs and patents.
And to keep competitors competitive, they use free android, crisis financovated by Google from search revenue and therefore with zero development costs for manufacturers and minilow integration costs.
And someone did Apple wonder that they protect all inventions and investments?
It's starting to feel like a chase carcloakroom, when things turn against you apple just to preserve competition. I have nothing against competition, it often increases the speed of invention and lowers prices, but does that apply here too? Google copies iOS and on top of that, Samsung copies the look of everything possible and suddenly it's a surprisingly cheaper competitor.
It's funny that I copy the manufacturers Apple and I'm pulling out patents for wireless technologies that must be granted under the FRAND (Reasonable and non-discriminatory licensing) condition, the funniest thing is that Samsung will try it via UMTS and Motorola via GPRS, this can't even be true...
I'm for competition, but everyone is against it Apple IMHO is a bit too much, don't you think? Apple has significantly fewer patents than anyone else, yet Google buys Motorola to then resell HTC's patents, which it then sues Apple.
And HTS buys S3 graphics, but when the court decides that Apple does not infringe S3's patents, HTS withdraws its intention to buy the company.
Does this sound normal to you?
Payin: well yeah but here's also an article about how samsung put pictures in its store app store
