Thanks to the fact that I replaced my regular PC with a Macbook Air with OS X, I was able to start exploring an unknown system that many describe as one of the easiest to use ever. Today I would like to point out a few pitfalls regarding the transition from Snow Leopard to the new OS X Lion.

Because it was mine Macbook purchased at the end of July, according to Applu I am entitled to a free transfer using a code that the manufacturer sends me after filling out a simple form and sending a photo or scanned invoice. This is where the first problem occurred. I don't know what happened to my request for a code, but even though I submitted it at the end of July, the code still hasn't arrived. After a few days I stopped solving the problem and got Lion in a different way (thanks Romane). This issue is therefore Apple he underestimated a bit, it is possible that the code will still arrive, however, I rather think that my request has already "gone to waste".

Reverse scrolling. A thing that many people have been discussing on discussion forums and on the microblogging network Twitter. First, I decided to give “proper” scrolling a try.ancbut after a short time I gave up. With my classic mouse, moving down using the scroll wheel felt unnatural and after sitting down at a different PC I always had a tendency to control it like Lion. So changing the scrolling was inevitable.

Another thing that surprised me a bit is the new Misson Control. It replaced the classic Exposé and integrated several functions into one. I don't understand why. Mission Control cannot display minimalized application windows, while Exposé in Snow Leopard handled it without any problems. I don't know if this is an intentional feature or just a bug in the system, but in my opinion Snow Leopard handled this feature better. Although there is also classic Exposé in Lion (it can be turned on with one of the gestures in the settings), miniMalized windows are ignored here as well.

In my opinion, the speed of the system has not changed after switching to Lion. Even though I have come across several reports that Lion has "boosted" their Mac and the system is noticeably faster after the update.
