Each of you must have already played or heard about this super social game where you become a businessman, trading land and buildings. Fortunately, he has his own iPhone and an iPod version that you can play anywhere you have your device with you. You can also play the game with family or friends using the Wi-Fi game to see who is the best trader! But you can also play up to four on one device. It also impresses with its price of €0,79, which is not that much. I don't understand why v App Store there is no iPad version either. It would certainly be better played on the large iPad screen than on the smaller iPhone screen. Too bad there's no iPad version. However, if you enjoy playing Monopoly, don't hesitate, they are definitely worth it!
Graphics
Too bad there's no support Retina Display, which I hope will come with the next update. With lesser-known manufacturers, it can still be understood, but why didn't the guys from EA pull it off!
After selecting the new game item in the menu, you can choose from the environment where the game will take place. It's not that important, because you'll be looking mostly at the playing surface anyway, but it will improve the overall gaming experience.
At times it seems to me that the game is kind of "blurry". You can also see it in the pictures that you can find in the description of the game in App Store. It's not visible in the menu, but everyone will notice it during the game, especially when rotating the camera 90 degrees. Apart from this shortcoming, the graphics are nice.
Sounds
The sound effects are simple and completely adequate, although they could sound a little more realistic since the game comes from EA. While playing, pleasant music plays in the background, suitable for this style of game. The more demanding will appreciate that they can choose from two styles: Jazz and Lounge. When you don't need the music during the game, you can simply turn it off in the settings. Personally, I would like to be able to choose my own music from the iPod.
control
The game also has the same rules as the boxed version. Well, nothing surprising :D. Just like almost every game that is currently on iPhone it has a nice, clear menu, in which everyone can find their way quickly. The familiar figure will guide you through the game after launch, explain what and how, and will no longer bother you. The game is also made special by land auctions. You can recognize your plots by the "brick" of your color. However, what I don't understand is why such a well-known game is not in Slovak or Czech!
Conclusion
Monopoly on iPhone and iPods are a great game to play anywhere without having to carry the entire boxed game with you. You will have a lot of fun with this game, whether you play against your friends over Wi-Fi or against your iPhone. What struck me about the game was that after launching it on mine iPhone 3G the game told me to restart iPhone due to lack of memory. After being ignored, the game jerked slightly, which would need optimization for older devices.
Despite its slight flaws, it's an excellent game that's worth having in your game collection. You can find the game for 0.79Euro tu for Slovak App Store, tu for Czech App Store.
